My practice includes primarily business law, corporate and commercial transactions, real estate and civil litigation, among other areas of expertise. I represent individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations.
I grew up in the Okanagan Valley and have lived in Vancouver for 14 years. While at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law, I was awarded the Arthur Close, Q.C. Prize in Advanced Legal Research, McLean-McCuaig Foundation Prize in Property Law and the Advocis Educational Foundation Prize in Contract Law.
Before launching Muse Law, I practiced for 7 years with Burns Fitzpatrick LLP, a medium-sized full-service law firm in downtown Vancouver. While there I had a broad and diverse practice and acted for a variety of businesses from small start-ups to large mature enterprises, including in large real estate, asset and share sale transactions and acting for major Canadian chartered banks in commercial mortgage transactions. I have acted for clients in individual transactions and disputes and as ongoing outside corporate counsel for businesses for whatever needs or questions may arise. I have appeared before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia and prepared submissions for the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
